		<description>this is an awesome idea! i&#039;m making these for a friend&#039;s pumpkin carving party that is tomorrow night.

i bought a few pink grapefruits to experiment in addition to navel and valencia oranges. the grapefruits have thicker skins, therefore retaining their shape better once hollowed out. they are also larger and can hold more fruit. when working with oranges, its easier to accidentally take away too much of the side, causing the orange to lose its structure. however, from an aesthetic consideration, the skin of oranges tends to have richer color and nicer gradients :)</description>
