Monthly Archives: December 2007 Last night our good friends, Aaron and Emily, came over for dinner. They live in California and are in town until Monday visiting family for the holidays. It was so fun to see them again and just eat, relax, and hang out. We played a few games of Sequence (a board/card game we got for...  And so this is Christmas! Unfortunately, I’ve been sick all weekend and didn’t feel like cooking or baking a thing. Good thing my mom and Ben’s mom took the lead and did it all. It probably would’ve been that way even if I was feeling healthy. There is just something about eating someone else’s cooking...  We hosted the Ph.D. Christmas party tonight and asked everyone to bring either an appetizer or dessert. As I suspected, we ended up with way more desserts than appetizers, and then with much food left over. My co-workers will be happy since they’ll reap the benefits tomorrow. One of the desserts I made is this...  Florentines and Pizzelles were part of my Christmas boxes this year, along with this pumpkin bread. Usually, I make this pumpkin bread into two regular size loaves (as pictured above). But, since I decided to add it to the Christmas box this year, I made the recipe into mini loaves. It made about 20 mini...
